okay i don't know what happened to my post..but yeah let me start again...
My 1979 Dodge St. Regis is having a lot of problems. Recently I was driving and it just died. It acted like it ran out of gas, but it wasn't on empty yet, it was half way between 1/4th and empty, and then I put one gallon in the tank and it still isn't working. It really sucks because I just had to replace the battery and alternator, 4 belts, etc...
If any of you know what is wrong with it or can help please let me know.
Thanks

It happened to me once, something like that. I was driving along and all of a sudden the car just died. I spent a pile of time checking out bigger components and things like that, but all that went wrong was that the coil wire came off the distributor. Ever stupid.
Dumb things like that can happen, it's probably something simple if the car was running normally, and then just died. Check everything out, and best of luck to you.

Let us not forget the ignition resistor woes, if it has one!!
Fuel pump'll do that too...
If you have the lean-burn ignition, (module on the air cleaner) that'll send you running around in circles, too.
Good luck
