:iagree: Those houses are SICK! Any of you guys ever make an MRE bomb? Take the heating pad from a standard issue MRE and put it in a soda bottle filled a quarter of the way with water and it does the same thing....real fun

Those are tons of fun. I used to make them every 4th of July. It was always sure to bring the police but since there was no fire involved and dry ice is not illegal, they could really say shit about it.
Those guys were doing it the hard way though. You get a bit more powerful of an explosion by taking an EMPTY bottle and then putting the ice in it. Then just add about a 1/4 of the bottle's worth of water.
PS. If any of you want to try this, don't use glass. If you have to ask why, then you really shouldn't be doing something like this.

in the an-archist(sp) cookbook it says to put the dry ice in a can of paint, then seal the lid and ring the door bell/\

uh, srry if i seem like a rich-bitch, but those house's seemed normal to me, but i've done something like that before, it was fun, except we did it with baking soda and vinegar, or something like that, and shake it up, and throw it off the porch, and it exploded and the cap of the bottle flew and cracked the windsheild in my moms truck(big trouble) and it kinda sucked.

hmm with those big ass houses, and them being rich, you would think they could afford bigger more sophisticated explosions

you can get dry ice at most grocery stores..... but the thing about dry ice bombs is that they are extremely hard to predict, so please be extremely careful with that stuff.....believe me, even small explosions can mess you up, oh memories of my youth :P.

That's bad ass. What's the chances that it would explode in your hand though?

For those of you who have never done this before.
First and foremost, the video does NOT do justice to the force of the explosions those make. I disintigrated a mailbox with one (which nobody can prove by the way) and I shredded a rubbermaid garbage can with one.
You can get dry ice from the Fish or Meat Market at any QFC Food Center or Safeway and it's very cheap. A decent brick of it costs about $2.50-$3.00.
And yes, these are VERY unpredictable so if you do decide to go do this. Bring a BB Gun so that you won't end up being another jackass that get's his/her hand shredded on the internet.

ya get it anywhere, and i would be careful cause they go off whenever its hard to tell, just by squeezing the bottle to see if its getting filled with gas can make it blow

haha here in the lab at work we have 4- 500lb crates of Dry ice..for freezing serum samples during shipment.. my buddy showed me how to make one in a water bottle during lunch the first time the top blew off like a bullet then the second time it blew the bottle apart..it was loud as hell and everyone got a kick out of it....the dry ice here is in small peices, looks like baby carrots.. makes it easier to fit in the bottle.. while he was putting the top on it blew off and almost took out his eye..:lol2:

I had to try this. I took some dry ice and put it in one of those small sparkly water bottles and threw it against a wall. Omg, it blew up and the bottle flew 40 feet into the air.
Can this dent cars? Wait, let me fix that.... Can it dent cars... 'badly'?
