2001 Malibu

My daughter purchased a 2001 Malibu a little over 2 weeks ago from a dealership. She called me and said it was making a noises in the front end passenger side. I drove it and took it to a couple different shops. I was told it had a broken o ring and needed the strut replaced (31,000 miles on car) so we paid to have that done. On the way home from getting that fixed the noise started again only when hitting bumps. Parked the car in the yard and went out to go to work and it would not even turn over. Replaced the battery this morning. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you
