Noisy air intake

well i just my 2001 Z24 and so far the only things i have dont on it are put on a K&N air filter and remove the Tuner Tube. Well since i did that i can now hear the air wishing around fromt he air filter to the air intake. I was wondering if this could be turbulance from the ridges in the tubing or just cause theirs more air getting in nothing i can do.
