I get the feeling that this is just the 5CD copy of SI 2000 that is sent out to the GM dealerships. Perhaps that is why this guy/gal isn't responding to emails.

I bought one of these DVD manuals off ebay. What I received was in fact a 5 disk set that says GM Electronic Service Information System. When I try to use them my computer says that the data is not windows compatable. I suspect that you need some GM proprietary software to utilize the disks. Does anyone have any idea if there is a way to use these disks on a normal windows home computer, or did I just get screwed?

try it on your dvd player not on your computer

I bought the 5 disc manual on e-bay and it worked fine, until I lost disc 1 . Would be willing to pay for a copy of disc 1 if anybody wants to go to the rtouble... It worked grat on my machine I am running windows XP

Mke sure your computer has a DVD player, some don't and can only read CD's
