Err if u say so. But its got some rice symptomps. Like a carbon hood and huge wing. which is okay if its for racing but this will probably be produced. Ill keep the engine and suspension but ford can have the rice.

err hows that rice? Carbon hood = light weight huge wing = downforce
unlike rice this is needed on this bad boy.
If you dont like the hood you can paint C/F and it looks great.

Ah yes the mustang GTR, I love it. Its a personal taste thing though, many people hate it and see it as rice while others absolutely love it. I'm one of the latter, the only minor flaw i can see in the car is that it looks kind of skyline GTRish in the bodyshape from the sides, but maybe thats just me :p

Are you a fool? This car has one carbon fiber seat, a full roll cage, fuel cell, remote resevoir shocks, single spindle wheels, muffler-less exhaust, a wide open intake tract, the car is built to be a racing prototype/concept car. How the hell do you think this is ever going to go into production.

Awesome. I can see where some wouldn't like it, but I do and i'm a hater of all rice. Any mustang fan that doesn't like it in the picture would probably crap his pants if they seen it in real life. As with the Roush's, it's a special car with unique looks. Can't wait to see the times on it.

Its not bad. Its like an 05 Cobra R taken a few steps further.

that is a bad ass car... like someone said earlier that wing is functional unlike the wings you see on most ricers... why would ricers need a wing anyway they're front wheel drive! Wouldn't they need to put the wing on the hood to get any use out of it?

That's why they have huge front valances, it's like a wing that sits under your grill. But none of them are capable of using them to their full potential.

Are you serious? It's a race car, not a street vehicle. I suppose the Cobra R is "riced" out too then, huh? The whole idea of "ricing" a car out is too put non functional junk on a car so it looks like a real race car like this one. All of that stuff is functional. It probably will not be sold to the general public, much like the Cobra R, but to people with racing licences. Sigh.

I personally like the car and I think it's a good modern representation of the old trans-am Boss Mustangs.

Sean_S, you mean like the GT40 right? Only sell to people with racing licenses? Holy Shit, we have a smart one here.
Sigh.

Umm read up on the Cobra R friend, then type something like that.
*edit*
I can't find proof of that, but I have read it numerous times that the Cobra R can not be sold to people without a racing licence. My point was that this is a racing model, and anything seen on it is completely functional.

Right you are Sean_S
You could only buy a Cobra R if you were a licensed racer.
Targa guy .... like Sean_S said .... "read up on the Cobra R friend"

No one cares if you have a racing license (issued by SCCA, CASC, etc.) or not; all they care about is if you have enough money to buy the damn thing.

ahh yes this thing. its intresting. its a nice car but not anythign ppl need to worry about cuz the only ppl who can get it need a supecalss lisence or what ever the level is. plus their NOT street legal. ony race only. so if you see any of those on the streets you now their a poser!! ^^

I think 440 hp would save it from being classified as "rice". Plus this is a race car. Take a look at the interior, it's been completely gutted. It's with good reason they call it a "GT-R Concept"

All i can say is I read 2 articles on it and both said it would be produced. Also you dont need a huge spoiler for traction especialy when u only have about 500hp. Look at the Enzo and SLR they dont have huge wings.look at early mustangs they also dont have huge wings. Im sure ford could have achieved better downforce with out resorting to a huge wing. Venturi chanels lip spoilers, ETC. One last thing when you go in a strait line a spoiler on the back of a FWD car is quite pointless. But when you start turning it can be quite important. As it adds "weight" (hence downforce being measured in Kg/m squared) to the rear axle and make sure it doesnt side step or slide as much. Also spoilers on any car (im talking about ones tested in a wind tunel) usualy cut the drag coeficient of a car by .01 to .05 (an averge from what ive seen is .35). Anyways i like the new Mustang. And i love the old ones up to about 75. For the production version they can take of that huge wing and put on a little lip spoiler.

I myself really like the Mustang GT-R concept. It looks good AND it's made to put up numbers.

Ok, here is my :2cents:. I think that the spoiler is a good idea for downforce. If you look at cars like the Ford Thunderbolt from way back when they had lightweight hoods (fiberglass if I'm not mistaken). Anyways, my theory is it doesn't matter how cars look as much as how fast they are and how good they handle. If I look like a loser:loser: while I smoke someones car, then so be it. So in a way :iagree:, but I mostly think :iamwithst. It's all about what your into. BTW: 500 HP is a lot for a stock car....
