I have a 2001 SE and I was attempting to replace the bulb in the driver's side headlight. I looked at the instructions to "lift up on the retainer clips" but cannot seem to locate exactly where there are any clips that can be lifted up. The small black and white picture in the owner's manual is no help. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Ok this can be a pain, so try not to break anything or get frustrated like i did.... When you are looking at the headlight... ( I'm not sure if you have that plastic shroud that covers the whole front, if you do, you need to remove it so you can see the head wires and assembly.) After that, when looking at the headlight, you'll see to adjustment screws that take a torque screw they are brass coloured maybe silver... Right behind them you'll find your retainer clips. It took me 3 months to figure out how to get those damn things out... So here;s my advise, The book says push and pull up ro something like that, try this first if not, try my method, What i did was took a flat head screw driver and pryed the clip back so it would be bending towards the engine, while bending it i used my other free hand to pull it up.... and POP it came out. the only other advise i have is be EXTREMELY careful in doing this, the headlights have a small little piece a of plastic that actually holds the light in place, with the metal clip, if you break this, You're looking at more work and a trip to the dealer for the part. Good luck

99+ga's light removal is easy , keep an eye on the plastic lock clip that holds the bulb in place , they break easy and the bulb just sits there held on by nothing letting moisture in. Each light assembly has a clip that pulls straight up to release the assembly , unlclip the bulb power harness so it dont get yanked on while removing the lens. When you put the lens back in you may have to alighn them again.
