let me rephrase.
i've been hearing that getting metal piping just heats up and ends up being not hot air at all. should i do short ram?
I had a tempo awhile ago and with some parts and a K & N filter we built our own short ram. Is this worth considering?

if you build your own, just spray it inside and out with high temp engine paint. It'll keep the piping cool

and what would you build your own out of? I've touched my intake before and it's not warm at all, usually cool even. I'd just buy one...

some SS or aluminum pipes, get them pre bent or have an exhaust shop bend them for you. Use pipe couplers to connect them and spray them with high temp engine paint and you're good to go.
