I know this is out of topic but I just wanna share this wit ya'll...I was reading the newspaper and they said that Universal Studios will be releasing The Fast and The Furious 3! It will take place in Tokyo...Vin Diesel will be back and will be playing the same character whos friend is in trouble with some gangsters in Tokyo! Its also mentioned that the movie will be released somewhere in 2005! I hope it doesn't suck like 2Fast 2Furious!! Well thats it... :grinno:

Yeah that's the only reason I ever watch(ed) them... The plots aren't that good but some of the cars are nice... some are just .... who ever made them needs to be killed for promoting Rice.

the first one had a pretty decent story line to it , it kept me into it ... i had to whatch the second one twice just to figure out why the hell they were doing what they were doing ... it was gay as hell ...the thing that got me about part 1 wasz , the whole point of PW going to race wars was to run the supra , and he never did ... the second one he has a badass skyline then he loses it and has to race some badass muscle cars with a damn eclipse spider HAHA , who the fuck came up with that shit ?? i wanted to see the skyline run those cars ... the next movie needs alot more racing and less bullshit stories and characters ...

Most of the cars ARE rice, and most of the stunts and such are Bullsh*t, okay in the second one the skyline sprayed at what was it 80-100 MPH? I haven't seen it in a while I do remember he spraying REALLY early for a car than can pull on a supra that easily.

The first movie's plot was okay because it actually had one. The second one was the same cars with different paint jobs and a big load of bullsh*t with a cherry on top.

Insurance SKY rocketed. the supra became WAY over priced, and For fuck sakes in the 2nd look at what the fuck they did to a skyline and S2000. The movies have caused NOTHING but trouble. Every dealer is hiking up the prices of EVERy 2 door import because they think the teens will buy it WHICH they do. And theyll advertise things like "As seen in to Fast to furious" Or this new drifting shit and there saying "DRIFTERS WANTED HURRY LAST CORLLA GT-S EVER" Selling the fucker for 5 grand when it has 180k miles on iit, they can suck my phat one. And to think yall are actually promoting something this ignorant is beyond me. Most of you people are educated tuners but to promote such movies even if you do like the cars in em is stupid. But as far as the fact of the movie goes, plot is a topic... when you get down to everything else I feel the same way, because of that movie I'm being bugged every g*d damn day with some dumb kid in his mom's car "Wanna race?" ... I just gotta say one thing Vin is no idiot. And his recent movies have done rather well so he wont do a Shitter like 2f2f which was horrible. Fast and the Furious he had to do to make a name for himself the 2nd he refused because he knew it was gonna suck balls and he could make more money doing other things. The third is based in Tokyo so unless the japanese rice there cars beyond belief lol, They might get things right. Maybe the producers will learn something from REAL tuners by going there. Or They may go even worse if thats at all possible. I just know most tuners in japan focus more in performance then bling bling so who knows it might turn out ok. I just know one thing boys and girls, drifting WILL be included in this movie. And you better bet your asses Silvias are gonna be on every prepubes want list lol. Also I believe they will have more RX-7 exposure. I just hope to GOD they dont put in a celica which I know they will. The celica has a GREAT base suspension and a capable platform to rival the Type R, if they put it in the movie be for warned prices will sky rocket. I mean hell a used GT-S now is only like 14 grand how the fuck can you beat that? Oh And Please LORD dont let them use IN Subarus lol. And Integras already cost to damn much lol.

With all the ideals we have we could probably come up with better versions of F&F. Let's get real here for a few..The only time I've seen cars that the owner dropped more than 20,000 into is at the car shows not on the street racing. What I see on the street racing is some kid that buys a car for under 3000 and drops around 5000 into it. Many times when I talk to some of these kids I ask them what they have done and it's mostly engine, bodykits and interior mods. Hardly any of them think about the suspension. I guess that is why I see most of the in the junkyard with 6 months to a year.

One thing about ricers is after they total out their cars you can go to the junk yard and get their mods cheap. A friend of mine pick up some AGX shocks for about half the price and they were still in good condition.

They're not completely real. All the cars are slow ass show cars. Maybe you should do a little research before commenting. There are only a few actual fast cars in the second movie, the rest were all for show. And the fast ones in the second movie were slower than stock, because of all the crap they loaded onto them to make them show quality.

To integrawhat - the only car I would drive out of thew whole series is the Evolution. And no I'm not full of it, the rest of the cars are completely riced out and a total joke. If you do a search in the Honda/Acura forums you'll see a few threads describing what Rice means.

believe this, i know fact from fiction and the fact is i do quit a bit of racing on the street and strip and a bit of road racing at mid ohio ive worked at more than one tuner and custom shop and im curently in school to be honda certified thanks. i drive a 13.387 sec daily driven "show car" its called show and go and its not just in movies (you get an average of .1 sec loss for for every 100 pounds) if you compare the weight from a body kit to the pieces they replace its not that different and if the kit is glass its gonna be lighter (not to mention the weight loss from cf hood, trunk and glass fenders) and in some cases more areodynamic. im not a fan of chrome rims cuz they are heavy and a part of the rotating mass which does make a noticable difference but size isnt alway synonymous with weight theres quit a few companies that make 18's that are lighter than your stock 14's. yes subs are heavy (and also removable on track days) my back seats and trunk were gutted to make room for them and to help with weight, even with them in i lose less than .5 sec avg. (which would still make me faster) the only cars i remember seeing in the movies that raced and had big stereo systems were the rx7 and the supra and for gods sake its an rx7 and a supra i think they both have plenty of potential power to have a couple subs in the trunk and not even notice. i use nitrous cuz it works not cuz some movie made it look cool by blowing up a car with it (nitrous is NON FLAMABLE by the way) nitrous has been around for decades, and for a reason, just because people are scared of it doesnt make it bad. i dont know how much heavier you guys think a show car is but unless you have a completely gutted "race car" its not that much heavier to classify it as slow just cuz it looks nice. just because you see it in a fictional movie doesnt mean it cant become reality :2cents: :2cents: :2cents: sorry for the run on :2cents: :2cents: and when girls see the car they dont laugh they ask to sit in it and hear the "big speakers" they seem to like the vibrating lol

for me i think that nos is the dumbest load of crap i have seen. i think of nos as the cheaters way out.
i had raced a car just last night that was the same damn car i had. the only thing he had was the same exact exhaust. that's it!!!! we raced from the line i killed him. it was sad. switch to second gear, looked in the mirror and he's getting further away. then third gear, uh wha??? all of the sudden he is now passing me???? i'm thinking there is no way???? we get to the next red, i asked "are you sprayin?" and of course he says "yea. how'd you know?" well duh. look at my mods. no way he should beat me unless he is sprayin or forced induction.
i could easily add nos to my car. it's like having cheat codes in a game to get experience. i would rather take my time and do it right to have my car where it is and feel proud about what i have done then to go buy a $200 kit to go the easy route.

I'm not questioning your car, I'm saying that the cars (specific cars, not the same car make/model) in those movies are stock performance wise. I'm not talking about cars that others own, I'm talking specifically about the cars in the movies. They're stock cars ment to look flashy, and that's it. The movies and the cars in them (those specific cars) are absolute jokes. For a show cars, they're decent at best. I've seen cars at local car show that look better then any of those, and I live in rinky-dink Syracuse NY. All those movies were good for is to get high schoolers ricing out their economy stock cars and getting everyone with an import car harassed by the cops. The movies are full of lies; nissan motor in a honda (could happen but they should have been more authentic), 10 second supra (could happen in real life but no way was that car in the movie even close), then there's more including the NOS thing you mentioned.

As much as I disliked the FF movies, it was nowhere near as bad as the Bike movie "Torque". This movie made me want to break something. If you ride, and have seen the movie, you should know what I'm talking about. Off topic, but so is this thread.

I want to see a movie with realistic imports. An old hatch with fat fives, an integra with primar on the trunk where the wing was, a CRX with only one seat in it! I think it would do alot better as long as it had a good plot.

If you want to see a movie about realistic imports you will probably have to make it yourself. But who wants to see a movie with a bunch of young adults bragging about their cars and talking trash about other cars. People go to movies to escape the boredom they call their lives. Haha I have seen that. It has some bad acting but it is not that bad of a movie, kinda short and funny too. Worth the time to watch it IMHO.
