I probably gonna sound dumb asking this question:
I have heard EBCM and ABS unit. Are these terms used interchangbly and are referring to the same item?
As i have mentioned earlier, due my "Brake" and "ABS INOP" lights coming on permanently, I was advised to replace my EBCM. They are also people asking me to change the ABS unit (or control module). Now i start to wonder do I actually have an EBCM and ABS residing in my 96 RS camaro?
Any input to clear up my confusion will be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Well your EBCM (electronic brake control module) is Part of your ABS.. (anti-lock brake system). I think its behind the driver side kick panel and insturment insulator??
When they say abs control module, or ebcm.. They are more than likely talking about the same part..
In your underhood relay box, check your ABS asr/tcs relay.. Also check your abs fuses.. Should be abs-ign, abs-bat, and abs-valve
