I have a 96 Grand Am GT and was wondering if it is possible to replace the serpentine belt without removing that damn motor mount. I'm guessing no. Anyone know?

I have not seen under the hood of a 1996 Grand Am GT but in my opinion, the serpentine belt are designed to be removed once you loosen the serpentine belt tensioner and without having to remove any other component.
Some tensioner can be loosened just using a ratchet or using a close-end wrench and then turning it to loosent the tensioner so you can remove the serpentine belt around all the pulleys.

I agree with mr slade , my 85 was like that too , i thought the engine mount was in the way , turned out the belt tensioner loosened enough to slide it on past the mount i thought was in the way. Just got to look at how it could go on differently , like from a below perspective. I hope thats understandable.

You guessed right! You have to put a juck under the engine, remove the motor mount, replace the belt, re-attach the mount, and remove the jack! WahhhLLLaaaaaahhh!
I know! I know! this what you are thinking -----> :banghead:

Are you saying you just loosen the tensioners then remove and replace the serpentine. I have a 96 GA 2.4L
