Im wondering if I can fit a 460 into a 1968 mustang. I think ive found some motor mount conversions but will it fit and are headers etc. Avaliable. Wondering if anyone else has done this successfully

Can't say for sure on your 68. I've been working on a 460 into a 69 and I got mounts and headers from a place called Crites in Columbus Ohio. The engine mounts worked fine but I'm still having trouble with header clearance. I had to do some work to the shock towers to get the pipes to clear. But the clearance between the shock towers and the heads is so tight I can't get my hands close enough to get all the bolts started. These headers are individual tubes with a separate collector that slips on and bolts to the header pipes. Honestly, I'm not sure what I'm going to to make it work. I'm thinking about having the existing roll bar finished to a full cage and having a tube nose put on. Then I can put some nice custom headers on and make working on the engine alot easier. I haven't talked to a shop about doing this yet but I know it's going to cost some $$$. If I had it to do over again I'd have gone with a 351W stroker of some size.

Actually, a lot of people like the 460 in an early Mustang swap because it fits easier than the old FE blocks did. (the fact that parts exist more readily for the FE aside, it is a tighter fit) The 460 is narrower than the FE was, although that isn't exactly hard to do.

If you're putting exhaust manifolds or shorty headers on, the swap will work easily. Full lengths aren't easy.
