ABS question

I know it was never standard on our civics, but I mean how do you make up for not having it? Is it just pumping the brake?

all abs does is keeps the brakes from stopping the wheel there is no way to simulate it because the computer reacts much quicker then you or mario andretti ever could because the computer pulses the pressure at like 60 times per second and because of this cars with abs usually have a slightly longer braking distance
