I'm not sure where you can pick up a rebuild kit for the engine but there was a recall for the transfer case. Did the previous owner take it in for it? If not, take it to the dealership and the'll make sure the transfer case is sound. If not, they'll fix it or replace it on Mitsubishi's dime.

Hey Yog's, do you know of any recalls for the 95 VR-4 off the top of your head? If not do you know where I could look this up, becase My transfer case leaks a little bit of oil as well. . .

Thanks,
Matt

There was definately a recall for the 95s http://www.alldata.com/TSB/39/95392016.html

If you don't have the notice (and I'm guessing you don't since you asked about it :p) just have your VIN number and go to your local Mitsu dealership. They can proccess it to see if the recall was done on the car. Once they see that it has not, they should get you scheduled for an inspection along with repairs all on Mitsubishi's tab.

Thanks man, I appreciate all the help. When you say the will schedule an inspection, do you mean they will inspect it for emissions on their own dime, or inspection for what? Because Im about to go to get emissions inspection tomarrow for a private shop. But yea, I would appreciate getting as much free work on my car as possible, LOL. Thanks Yog's

Matt

I meant just an inspection of the transfer case - sorry to say you're on your own in the emissions department.
