its a '92 prelude. Here i've done a detailed outline of the car. i should be finished sometime by next week. I'll be using prismacolor pencils mostly, and a bit of col-erase pencils. Sorry for the quality. I had to darken the drawing on computer so the lines would show up.

Quite fascinating for ur age, two more years and you’ll be at my level!
Little suggestion, your rims look kind of 2d make the inner arc or the rim to make them look more realistic.

This is the third stage of the drawing

This is the finished drawing. during the drawing, i read up on some colored pencil drawing techniques and realized i made a few mistakes. But, hopefully, i'll learn for the next time.

very very good drawing.
your front wheel is off, though. you've got to watch those elipses. use a template if you cannot eyeball the rims and tires. just make certain you know how to use the correct degree of elipse, or the template will do more harm than good.
the bodywork is just stunning. very excellent. you are much the car artist.

thank you everybody for your comments. I had decided to upload all the pics under imageshack.us
Bonzelite: thanks for pointing out the mistakes in the rims... i've always had a problem w/ elipses, and i will buy a template.
Castback: the top drawing(stage 3) is just terrible computer quality, and i couldn't re-scan it because i was already done the drawing by the time i realized the scan quality of stage 3 was crap. (did that make any sense?)
Kustmace: i know the wheels look fake. They were photoshopped into my ref pic.
Asaenz: i read a lee hammond book on portraits with colored pencils and i applied it to cars.(i couldnt get a hold of "draw nascar") Other than that, i learned on my own.
Thatoneguy88888: i used prismacolor pencils, not markers

stuffbyalex, just a word to the wise: before you get the templates, brush up on life-drawing of actual rims. go out to your car and draw the wheels from all different angles, in short sprint drills using no eraser. just look and draw. if you fuc*k up, start over, do not look back.
this way you can use the templates competently. otherwise, you are just as clueless and uneducated about how actual wheels recede into three-dimensional space.

a word in general to all possible "anti-template" people: any wheels manufactured by an automaker are made by a machine -as is the entire car. so the artist should mimic this machine process as much as possible by making the wheels as perfectly close to a machined-process as possible. this will elimate distracting "blob" wheels and create a convincing car drawing.
the singlemost thing i am seeing on these forums that ruins an otherwise great picture is wrong elipses. that will foil any endeavor nearly instantly.
