Got my first ticket in my Spec V

I got my first speeding ticket ever and it was in my SE-R Spec V. I was going 54 in a 35mph zone. This cop with a laser gun got me as I was shifting into 3rd. Anyone have any similar stories to share?

On top of that, I have to remove the tint from the front two windows. That really sucks. My tint job cost me $160.

buy a 10band cobra radar detector... it helped me alot, and cops usually stop a person and warn u about tints but after u clear it he doesn't give a shit ....... if u keep them on

My tint was 30%, which is medium. I'm in California, Los Angeles. There are many cars with fully tinted windows but the cops don't make a big deal of it. Some do, some don't. Unfortunately I was driving through a city where the cops do take it seriously. Where I live, the cops really don't care. It was just bad luck.

hey im from the 350z forum and i got a 125mph speeding ticket, but it was on the way to Vegas (through the midle of the desert) so it wassint as big of a deal is it sounds but it cost me 650 bucks.it was worth it though as 10 minutes before that i was hitting the speed limiter at 155mph and when the cop caught me i was actually on my slow down. since then i have bought a radar detector and it dose help alot.

The cops are really cracking down on tinted windows. My buddies tint was 1% off the legal limit and issued a fix-it ticket. Is that bullshit or what. Oh and it was factory replacement windows to repair a break in.

I personally think that you should not have to "fix it" if it came that way from the factory. That really sucks. Besides, those lite tints are suppose to help block UVs. They're there for a reason. I chose to get darker tints to keep the interior cool. Besides, my Spec V has the red interior and i've noticed some fading already. That was the other reason.

He has a court date set next month. He's going to fight it all the way. He drives a lowered and tricked out s-10. We all know how that goes, you drive a tricked out ride so you must be bad news.
I get sick of it, my car club is well respected in my community but we still get harassed.

Ok, so you wanna hear my speeding ticket story? I was going 120mph in a 65mph zone when I saw a cop ahead. I literally stood on the brake pedal and got my speed down to 97 within less than 1 minute. The cop wrote me up but I was lucky...he adjusted my speed to 92 so I wouldn't have to go to take the driving class and didn't arrest me on the spot. However, he wanted to know why I was going so fast since I was going 32mph over the speed limit. I got real red in the face and didn't know what to say other than..."trying out my 6th gear, and by doing so got carried away." He didn't seem too impressed knowing how he was a state trooper...opps! So I went to court and got it down to even less and was happy for only having to pay $175 instead of over $200 for my speeding ticket.

Are you fucking RETARDED? While I do speed a little, 5MPH over, and 15 on highways, a neighborhood is no place to do 60MPH, and 90 in a 45 is just as fucking stupid. What the hell would you do if a kid ran out in front of your car? Your suspension would not save you then, and you would have the guilt of taking a life on your shoulders, but you would have plenty of time to think about it with your 10 years in jail. It's not a highway, kids do cross the roads. Maybe you should stop thinking you're such a hard ass by speeding and slow your dumb ass down.
