I was in my car with my friend today and he was telling me about how dumb my car was, so I was like "stfu! hey check it out" so I stop the car and then I floor it and pop the clutch in at >3000. Well funny thing is, you know how when you accelerate or break and you lean against the force to counter your momentum? Well I did that, but kind of over compensated.. I Poped the clutch and my head flys foward and hits the steering wheel. Uh huh, yeah so it would seem that launching in neutral is not reallly fast. All I ended up showing off was the red mark on my forhead and the hole in my muffler. =(

Man.. At least I wasn't lined up with another car.. I'd probably be on the Kill list on the Civic boards =((((

How'd you end up with a hole in your muffler? Hope you're okay.
I just tend to ignore what other people say about my car. I like it, and that's all that really matters to me.

LMAO   I know exactly what you are talking about. If I'm sitting at the light and have it in neutral but forget that it's in neutral when the light turns green, i'll still lean a little bit when i give it some gas even though im not moving.

lol if i was your friend in the car i would have been laughing my ass off. thats hilarious

Yeah man it was pretty bad he actualy got out of the car and walked off laughing while I was still rubbiny my head. =((((

He says next time he will get out and try to race my car on foot with his new JDM sneakers.

And the hole is in my muffler because it is old, and I don't want to fix it yet because I want to redo my whole exaust. But I can't do that yet because I am waiting to settle an insurance claim.. I want the body fixed up before I pour $1000 into an exaust system.

On the light side of $1000, this includes a new header not just a fancy chrome tip. Also a little bit of labor because I live in an apartment and have no garage =\

What does your friend drive? Go before Show man. My whole exhaust system costed like 800 and labor isn't that bad. Clutch labor is bad!!

clutch work is easy as hell to do by yourself as long as you have a few tools laying around and maybe rent a few from autozone or something. but it really doesn't take that long and isn't all that hard. but then again so is putting a new exhaust system either(prolly easier)

I used to do that with my old car, i had an 85 honda prelude, carb. 100 hp. It was a decent starting car, and it wasn't that slow. I drove the heck out of that thing and showed off a lot. One time i reved up at my friends walking on the street coming from school and crashed the car in front of me. :banghead:

another time was when i punched the gas trying to cathch up with my friend, big mistake, the carbs were bad so the car jerked and it took time to accelerate and when i did, i hit a dip big time.
:disappoin
That was almost 2 years ago. Now I have learned from my mistakes and i dont like to goof off that much. especially with the 240 I just bought. And if anyone says that my car sucks, i tell em to get off my car!! :iceslolan

yeah, that stuff always sucks. pretty much my first encounter with driving on ice i was following my cousin in my dads car and wasnt paying close enough attention.... she stopped at a red light and i hit her....didnt do any damage other than a little scratch on the bumper of her pile of shit, she didnt tell my dad but he would have raged on me.

i never really worry about what people say about my cars quickness. i just take them for a ride down some of my favorite back roads and let them experiance the cars handling (an my driving skills -pat myself on the back-). after that they tend to shut up or want a 240sx. this is why me and a good friend of mine are goin to look at a black '96 this afternoon. don't worry he's an accomplished auto-x-er, he won't fuck it up.
