Iraqi P.O.W. harrsament

I just want to get this off my chest,

I just want to say that what our soliders did to the Iraqi prisoners a cuple of days ago was inhumane and non-American. I know what the Prisoners did when they were free was not right also, and I am not saying that I am standing up for all Iraqi soliders, but we are over there to teach them the American way, and what those U.S. soliders made the prisoners do was definaly NOT the American way. If I was a comander over there there would only be two things that I would say to those specific U.S. soliders, Would you do this in America? and pack your bags because you are going home.

So what do you think?

i dont think we are there to teach them the "American Way." i think we went in there to take down the dictatorship and implement a democracy. i personaly don't think they will be able to function with a democracy, but i guess we'll see. what they did was wrong, and they should be punished, but not because its not the "American Way". At least it isn't torture like many POWs experience.

It's still WRONG. Iraq's "liberation" is one of the biggest mistakes in military history, the U.S. government and intelligence fawked up. A democracy will never work in Iraq, they see it as an American form of government, and they will have to police that nation for decades now.

....if you were a commander over there.... youd be jus as scared and jus as angry as every soldier over ther for defending their country and gettin only half teh support they should be gettin....
you wouldnt be against anything... youd go along with it.. or give the orders... you cant say youd do something different cause youre not in their shoes... and you have no idea what anyone over there is going through
