alarm going off for no reason

I have a '92 Maxima. About a week ago the (factory) alarm started going off for no reason. Neighbors even called the cops since I was at work and there was nobody available to shut it off. Does anyone have an idea where a potential problem may be. Until I implement a permanent fix, I have to disconnect my battery to avoid any more neighbor problems. How do I disconnect the alarm or atleast disconnect the siren? Help!!!

You need to get the sensor adjusted. My fiance's 300ZX had the same problem, the alarm went off when the wind blew too hard. F**king vandals dented her hood in casue it went off in the middle of a wind storm. oh and TEST IT after you get it adjusted, the first guy that adjusted it made it so that it never went off.

Where exactly would I find this sensor on '92 Maxima SE?
