lifgate window how to open

My question may seem to be stupid but, I recently bought a 98 GC limited and I found this "window" button outside the liftgate, over the number plate. Does it means that my liftgate window opens? If so? How do I open it?

Not stupid - the car wash people never figure it out. The button opens the rear window glass. Just push up on it (the rear gate needs to be unlocked) and the window should pop open and stand up on its own gas struts.

I tried to open it, but it doesn't seem to work. Anyway, the rubber seal seems to be part of the window glass. Is there any noise when you push the buttom? Is it a eletric system? If so, there may be a blown fuse.

Tomorrow I'll open the inside cover to see how it works.
