Recommendations for Inspection in Seattle area

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum, but hope to come here more in the future, if things work out.

I'm looking to buy a '91 MR2, and I'm in the Seattle area (actually Bellevue). The problem is, I don't know where I can find a good shop to do a mechanical inspection. I'm no mechanic, so this is a must for me.

I'm a little weary about just taking it to the local dealer, as I've heard bad things about them, and it is an older car, and they could care less about doing a good job. Or they might just try to steer me towards a car on their lot.

Is there anyone out there who has experience with shops in this area and could give me advice? I would very much appreciate it. Or is there a site or thread on this already? I've searched and come up empty handed :banghead:

Also, my wife hates the color of the car (red). I don't mind it too much, but does anyone know about how much it might cost to get it repainted? I would be looking for a decent quality job, of course...

i live in kent so im not far but mai bro got some off his stuff put on at xtreme autosolon. the adress is 34225 pacific hwy. s. federal way wa. and there fone number is 253 847 0073. there is also a place in kent thats called VIP racing i dont know the adress or fone number but they have good audio and performance stuff and a garage

I'm getting it checked out at Autologic in Bellevue, by the recommendation of a friend of mine with an MR2.

to paint it there is a place in lynwwood that will do it for about $450 and there good.

not that i know of mai bros getting his done some place around aubure for a 1500 but that includes a bodykit. just cll around and get quotes
