Replacing coolant temp sensor on 96 SE?

I'm getting the 0103 error code and have purchased a new sensor. I've finally found its location, but...how to get to it? Am I going to have to remove a bunch of things to get at it? I can barely get a wrench to it and there's zero room to turn it. Help!
