Ok try stepping on the brake pedal like 25 times with the engine off, battery unhooked ...
And what are you fixing because a large chunk of the ABS is covered under a seperate warrenty and the dodge dealer won't tell you this but dodge will pay to fix it, if you happen to mention this to them ...... And the costs of say a modulator, it's nice if they'll pick up the bill...... (( and this unit's warrenty is seperate from your van's ))

Well, I just want to replace the front padson my 95 Grand Caravan, but my Chilton's book says that the ABS pressure need to be released before doing any break work.
I've never owned a vehicle with ABS system before so I wasn't sure, That's why I turned over to this forum for help!

Oh .. ok you should be able to just remove and replace them, just hit the brake pedal a few times and then you can change them over, like other front pads on a non ABS system .. I did a 99 with ABS with no problems.... (( and look at the rotors they are prone to warpage on the caravans ))
I didn't know if you where fixing a part of the ABS system or not and a large chunk of that is covered by dodge's "silent warranties" )) so one's gotta ask ....
And if you wanna know any thing else just post it up here or kick me a email at CreativeMod@hotmail.com and if I know I'll let you know ....
