The only times you really see front mounts are on stock applications where they can't block any of the radiator, and it needs to be tucked away in the corner to pass crash tests. Not worth anything in a performance application.

I would definately stick with a front mount intercooler. It will work much more efficiently in the front.

the point of an IC is to bring in cooler more dense air, unless factory routed the air you would be bringing in would me warmer less dense are from teh engine compartment..therefor working not nearly as effective as a front mount..the pos. is that it would in no way block/starve your radiator of the same cooler more dense air, especialy when driving. this can be comensated by using a smaller front mount IC that only blocks a portion of the radiator...
I have been working on a schematic on this for a few weeks while bored here at work, i am using a massive front mount XS IC on my sol and i am running vented plumbing and so forth, and increasing my coolant flow in many ways, but im not gonna get into that .. what kind of vehicle si this ?
