ECS problem

I have the ECS in my 91 galant, and my compressor motor is burnt up. I called a local dealer around here, and they said it was $804. Anyone know where i can get 1 cheaper? If not, will it hurt anything just to put regular shocks and coil springs on it?

I have an 89 and I have 3 shocks out $1800 at the dealer just wondering if you have found out anything???
