Going to do a brake job all the way around on my 99 Blazer (4 wheel disc). What size hex bolt holds the calipers on? Any words of wisdom from anyone? I've heard of issues with the emergency brake hanging up the rotor at times. Thanks much.

Fronts:
Take the entire caliper brackets off (18mm big wrench). Change the pads inside the brackets.
Rear:
Before starting the brake job, drive the vehicle about 45 mph and apply the e-brake several times solidly. This will dislodge most of the rust that holds the rotors on the e-brake horseshoes.
The caliper brackets have I believe 15mm heads.
If the rotors are still stubborn, take a ball-peen hammer and hit it right on top of the hub between the axle face and the rotor surface as hard as you can. The point is to make a hole big enough to get an 8mm swivel 1/4 drive socket in to unbolt the clip holding the horseshoe. Then the rotor will come off fairly easy. I've seen the clips break, which you can now get seperately, but more often the bolts break off which are near impossible to drill out.
