You need to get one of those car alarms that shoots flames from underneath and onto the robber's feet when they get too close :lol2:
But seriously that sucks :( I had Alex put my alarm LED right above my ac/stereo area so that when people look in the car first thing they see is a bright ass blue blinking light.
If you can spare a little extra $$ an alarm (especially one with engine kill) is definitely worth its weight in gold.

You know to prevent stereo theft you could get one of those Taser thingees, they are legal to my knowledge

I've installed a rattler alarm system with keyless entry, and everytime I get out of my car I take my cd player face with me cuz thats the only thing of real value besides the car itself:bandit:

A properly installed security system is cheap insurance. It will not stop the smash and grab guy, so don't leave valuables in plain sight, but it will help stop your vehicle from being stolen.
You will hear people say "nobody pays attention to alarms"
But someone will look at a car that has an alarm going off, even to just scowl about the noise. This is a thief's worse nightmare, he/she doesn't need the attention.
