I have just purchases a g-tech pro competion performance meter. it is a divise that suction cups to your windshield... it senses g-forces so it can determine 1/4 mile times and speeds 1/8th 0-60 braking and 0-100, cornering g's accell g's and it has a tach and shift light the programs its self to where it feels the most accelleration. a new one will cost you $250 and a used one for about $150. mine has not come in yet but will be here monday next week. sorry about posting this before i even get it but i was too excited. I will let you all know how accurate this thing is and if it is worth it so you all dont make a mistake of buying one if it is a waste.

Nice, let us know , i have heard good and bad things about them. You should really run it while you are on the dyno. It will cost you but it will give a nice way to see if the readings are accurate, also could run at the track for a real condition situation.

Well i finnaly got it in the mail. Only took 3 weeks. Well here is what i have to say. SWEET!!! It measures 1/4 mile times very accuatly, and after the run you can analyze in on your computer to see what you did wrong...i am talking about anything you ever wanted to know kind of detailed. There is this very interesting tach. All you do is plug this baby into the cigarette lighter jack. It reads it by reading off of your alternator output. This is a super gizmoe and i advise it to anyone who wants to take the time to calibrate this bitch. I have never had a tach in this car so it is hard to calibrate it with out an existing tach but there is still ways to get around it. The only things i dont like about it is that you can only get accurate readings if you are running on flat ground, and if you drop it ..its hurts the accelerometers...and you somtimes have to recalibrate it again. But with a tach and about 10 mins youll be getting 1/4 mile times. I love how accurate it is and how in deapth the computer analysis is!!! you just need flat ground to really make her worthwhile trust me ...great investment! if you want to know anything i will tell you...ill be glad to help!!!

because it uses geforce to determine speed and stopping, does that mean it cant be used on a dyno where your car isn't moving?

I've heard of Mustang V6's getting low 14's in the 1/4 with those pieces of crap but kudos if it works well for you...

I have the original g-force performance meter and i really like it. But hearing your liking to the newest one... I just might have to upgrade. But if you want a cheap quick one i got mine for 55 shipped on ebay. Though its the original i feel i got a damn good deal

No if your not moving it cant give you g-forces...sorry not on the dyno. and to who ever was complaining about v6's having good times... i have noticed one fault...because the 1/4 mile time is triggered by when you want to go it senses that you have launch by your launch g's but it takes it some time to relize you pulled off. so when you plug it into the computer and look you can easliy realize that on the time speed map that you were moving before it said you started... so just add the amount of time that it didnt get... and yes its right there on the chart to figure it out with ...were talking .4 .5 seconds so yes it will make there time .4 -.5 seconds better. (becuase they didnt relize this) (dumbass rwd er's :loser: just messin haha) but yea its fixable and no those were not the correct times... :grinno:

Tonight i just tried out the horsepower and torque estimate runs. And i am very suprised...everyone said that these are so off and dont bother with them ...in all the reviews i heard. But i read up on the g-tech and there is a specific way to drive to get the most accurate results and according to my calculations these essimates are almost on the money that the g-tech got its like wheel horse power ..so you can see the amount accually at the road but it also takes in wind so its like 18% about i was guess and did the 18% of my 106 hp and i got 87 and my g-tech said 85hp so its was right abou there ..and that was with only one run they say to do 2 or 4 runs and average them. so i can say its worth it if you do it the right way. As for the times its very accurate i am getting basically the same times but not the same due to me :icon16: i can analyze it later on the comp and i found out why one of my 1/4 mile runs took .862 longer than usual... i took it out of gear 342rpm too earlier compared to my previous run ...and blah blah..i am telling you this is detailed i can stare at these graphs and just soke up info... and shift times too!! i go a very quick shift off and i could see it in one of the graphs and timed it to .001 of a second... most shifts like .364 this one took me .174 seconds so yes detailed..yes worth it and yes i love it(even though you didnt ask)

oh yea i took 4 runs on the same road and ...wasnt thinking... hahaha as i pulled into a road to turn my self around and come back out to take another run the other way, and this cop comes flyin down the road...(looking for me ) some little bitch ratted on me so now i know not to do this again :nono: one run at a time :iceslolan
