Well recently my car is leeking colant everytime i run it hard. I went through a whole thing of colant in 3 days. I know i have a hole somewere in the radiator and iam gonna have to get that fixed cause i dont know how to fix that kind of problem.
My question is how do i find out why my fan is not working. You think it's because of a fuse or do u think the fan is broken. I only overheat when iam idleing for a long time. But i can still drive the car just fine. I just cant let it idle. Some help and advice would be good.

Well, the first thing to check is the fuse. Its easy enough to do and you can tell right away if its burned out. If its not the fuse, then you can start tracking down the any breaks in the wiring.

Me and my friends went and checked out my motor today. Here's what i know. The fan is working and thier is no hole in the radiator. Turns out when the engine gets hot the colant expands and boils over.
The fan works when i turn on the air conditioning. But when i turn it off the fans dont work. I checked the fuse and relays and they all work fine. I just cant figure out why it's not turning on when the temparture gauge starts to rise. What do u guys think. I really need to get this problem fixed.

Bad thermostat.
The sensor for the fan only sees coolant flow if the tstat is working. Thus if the tstat goes the fan's don't come on.(AC always makes them turn on.)
I know this from experiance with my TT.

It's not the thermostats cause i had that fixed bout two weeks ago. The thermostats allows colant to run through and the colant is working fine everything is fin except the fan isnt turning on when it's suppose to.

The fans alone will not prevent the engine from overheating.
I changed the tstat and had to do it again 1 week later as the replacment died.

No you dont get it. It cant be the thermostat because without the thermostat the colant cant run through the engine. When i drive the air cools down my colant and the thermostat is what lets the colant flow through. What i need to find out is why isnt my fan not working when iam idling.

All I know is that when my tstat went bad, my car did exactly what your is doing.
Humor me, pull the tstat and see what happens.

lol i already doubled checked its not the thermostat. When my thermostat wasent working the fan was running but it wasent cooling the colant because the thermostat wouldnt release the valve for the colant to run through.
It's buggin me i cant figure out whats wrong. My friends dad said it could be a sensor but iam not for sure. Now i have to go and get it checked out.
