airbag light flashes off and on

i've got a 95 maxima with the airbag light that just flashes on and off. can anyone make any suggestions or should i just give in and take it in to the dealer!!!! HELP

YES! I just had this happen too. Dealer wnted $85 to reset. I have a 92 SE but this may work for you. It DID work for me after I changed steering wheels.
"driver's door switch (the button for the interior light on the coloum between front and back door) is turned ON and OFF more than 5 times within 7 seconds after the ignition switch is turned on" Good luck!

I have the same thing going on with my 96 SE. The door limit switch trick worked a few times, but the dealer had to reset it for me after it came back several times. Now, the dealer has reset it a few times (for free) and it still comes back, so I now probably have a bad airbag module. $$$$$$!
