Hot air coming out when air conditioner is turned on. Heater working not the air conditioner.

Your AC is not working, but it’s not your heater working – its hot air because it’s hot out. You either need to recharge your AC, or replace the AC compressor. If you do it yourself parts alone will run about 300.00 for a new compressor and clutch. A recharge is about 5 bucks if you do it, don’t forget to lubricate; you’ll burn up your AC.

Are we going to see if anything else could be at fault, or are we going to condem the R134. Is you A/c compressor cycling, turning on, clicking on when you select the A/C position. If not it may be the A/C cycling switch, a $30.00 part. Lets start with some simple first. :sunglasse :werd:

I'm trying to help. Not make people upset about my literary mistakes. I could have said Keep it simple stupid, but mean people suck. Sorry for the mistake. :sunglasse

I was trying to help too, within my ability and previous experience. I only made the response that I did because you weren’t really being nice, criticizing my advice. Not a lot of people respond on these forums and I was offering the only information that I had, which is better than nothing.
