Hi All,
I have a 98 Blazer that will not stay running more than 2 seconds. It will turn over and even start but then dies right away. This used to happen every 6 months or so, but it would start after some time. Today it will start up but won't run more then a few seconds. Could it be the computer?

Have you noticed that your SECURITY light may stay on or flash?
From what you are describing, it sounds like a SECURITY issue.
There is a GM technical bulletin #01-08-56-001A that has to do with some wiring connector fit issues regarding the THEFTLOC system on your vehicle

Yes, in the past the security light has come on, but with no ill effects. I haven't seen it come on for a least a year or so.

Well guess what happened? Chevy had the Blazer for 2 days and said it was the pass code sensor. I paid $480 and went to start it and the same damn thing happened right there on the lot. They insisted it must be a defective pass code sensor and put in another one. It's worked the last few weeks until today, same CRAP! They do'nt want to listen to me about this tech bulletin and are trying to tell me some more BS! Any suggestions?
