the other day I hit a really big pothole on the highway. and the day after I noticed this whistling kinda sound coming from the rear of my car. I can't really pinpoint where its coming from. I just had both of my front Hub Bearings replaced. And this sound is only hear when I drive about 40-50 MPH or higher. Any suggestions or thoughts of what it could be? Thanks in advance!

Damn man. Nobody has any suggestions. I know I'm not the only person to ever have this problem.

This may not help, but since no one else has posted a suggestion, I will. I owned a 1999 cougar that kept getting this strange "whistling" sound from the back left of the car at higher speeds. I took it to the dealer since I hadn't had the car that long, and they were unable to find the problem.

I never did find out what the problem was until I happened to touch the back left lights. When I did, it moved slightly and made a squeaky whistling sound. The whole assembly was loose. That was it. I tightened it up and the whistling stopped.

Since you hit a pothole, check around your car and see if anything is loose. I hope that helps.

Nah, its not that. I checked all of that. I just got my back brake pads replaced today and new rotors. MY mechanic said perhaps it might be my tires in the back making the noise. So I'll see if the noise is gone when I pick up my car today.

Ok. my mechanic checked everything and I have new back rotors and new rear brake pads. Noise is still annoying the fuck outta me. I have 4 different brand tires on my car.( I know, its a nono. But tires are expensive) could this be the cause of this sound. Can any one help me. Please
