Question for GS Stage 1 Owners

I came across an ad for a '72 Stage 1 recently with a 'rebuilt' 455. I spoke with the owner and when I checked the VIN (4H37J2G118922) it appears that this vehicle is a 350/4bbl Skylark Custom. He said it had Stage 1 emblems, but I'm afraid that a previous owner had a 455 and emblems added. I see where '72 Stage 1s were quite rare, and was curious to learn more since the asking price was rather low.
In addition to what I suspect to be the considerably lower value of this vehicle compared to a true Stage 1, wouldn't this vehicle also be prone to overheating, driveline and handling problems if a 455 were dropped in a 350 body? Thanks for your feedback!
