91 cougar 3.8 Hi, i recently have had problem where my car wont startup. Starter would sometimes make grinding noise when key turned but would start good run good. it wouldnt start in morning when wet outside today tried to start a few times almost fired but didnt, waited a minute or two then started after a few chugs and starts fine again thereafter. also been having bad gas mileage lately, tune-up parts have been done, battery is good, alternator, fuel pump few months old, fuel filter replaced. could it be a solenoid or ignition module or o2 sensor?

try putting a new cylonoid, and voltage reg. if that isnt it. It could be your starter. If you have a new starter then i dont really know

MAP sensor could be disconnected. How about the spark plugs? If they are "fowled" the engine will be hard to start. Leaking fuel injector perhaps.
