I will give a disclaimer on my jeep before asking advice. I am running 33" tires with a rear disc brake conversion and an inline hydralic brake lock to replace the ebrake.
MY PROBLEM: when I press on the brake pedal it sinks about 3/4 of the way down before really engaging the brakes. then I really have to press hard on the last bit to get my jeep to stop very fast. I know the big tires are definately contributing to the slow stopping, but I think it can be better. I haven't re-bled the brakes since I did the conversion so I guess that might be contributing. It has been a while, but I think I took out the proportioning valve since all 4 wheels were nearly equal discs.
So other than bleeding the brakes is there a way to tighten up the braking on the 'rokee?
I kinda feel like a danger to society when I drive it, not knowing when I'll have to stop quickly... so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Any idea of what I would be looking for in a master cylinder? How would I find one that is made for 4 wheel discs that will fit into my cherokee, hopefully with out much or any modding.
I guess that means there is no adjusting my current system to tighten it up, huh? bummer.
