cut out on a v6

I know the v6 F-bodies rely on their torque to get off the line, but i love the idea of running with open headers and the closing them for emissions and reopening them right after. So I guess what I'm trying to say is would i lose speed by putting a cutout on a v6 because of losing backpressure, aka torque ?????

If I were to go with a cutout instead of magnaflow cat-back, i would also be able to afford pacesetter headers and 3.73 gears, so what would be faster ..... magnaflow catback or headers gears and a cutout??

gears alone would make the car alot faster than any exhuast system. as for the cut out im not too sure about the torque thing im not expert on v6's, i always thought cut outs would make ur car faster. would u be going from a 3.23 gear or a 2.73 to 3.73? either way a 3.73 will do alot i just had my TA changed from 2.73 to 3.73 man it is a huge difference

I am going from a 2.73 to a 3.73 and how much would i get shaved off of my times??......if i get gears...i would get headers and a cutout too, soo with all that would i gain a second???

if the cutouts do turn out to add power and u get the headers witht eh gear yea i would consider close to a second drop in 1/4 mile time if not at least 8 tenths. i went down close to half a second just witht he gear change

I know the cutout would add a lot of hp but it would reduce torque, but i wanna know by how much and if it would slow me, seeing as i have a sixer, which relies on its torque.
