Sunroof sound (snap)

I have a 97' gsx, wtih the power sunroof, and when Im on route 13 (highway) or I hit a bump when the sunroofs all the way back and open, it makes this Crack/snapping noise. As I hit the bump or unavoidable pothole I hear the snap and it kinda sounds like something broke. I know for sure its coming from my sunroof and I did hear that they had a prob. with that but that could be hear say - has any1 else had this sort of problem? and Is something gonna break if it keeps happening? (hopefully this isnt a stupid question)
