Oh, god!! I know you will say: "NOT AGAIN!! ANOTHER SKYLINE, I'M SICK OF IT ALREADY. YOU CRAZY B****!!!"
 I really have to check my head because I had 22 skyline models now (build and unbuild).

Back to this one. It's going to be straight out of box with interior CF and wiring, like the xanavi. I'll post some pictures of how to make those wiring when I work on them. Not much done for now, painted the rims and body.

I dirty up the rims around the nut and paint the line around the spokes(red arrow). Gotta paint them 'cause they are too white.

Not another Skyline you crazy ****h!!! LOL Looks great, I like the line aroun the rim as it makes it look like a true multipiece rim. THe color and shine is great! I wish I can master the blue paint like that.. its a tricky color. Look forward to your tutorial on the wiring... you did a great job on the Xanavi model.

Are there any aftermarket decal schemes for these Skylines? If so you could build dozens! I'm the same for Peugeots 206s, got half a dozen planned - never enough time to build them all though :(

Looks great so far. What did you paint the line around the rim with - a permanent marker?

You really are the Skyline queen.

Excellent work so far!

No motor? Awe! I was just thinking the other night that I should pull a Nismo400R and throw a motor into my racing S2000.... Kinda disappointing, I considered that your trademark; proof of your handiwork. Nevertheless, we're all braced for a mad stunner.

Just wanted to know how you painted the line around the wheels?
Gundam marker maybe?
The rims look spot on perfect,i was going to buy this kit as my next project so how is the kit in terms of quality of build/difficulty etc.

Cant wait to see more pics.
Cheers

Awesome another Skyline, i love the Calsonic Skyline too. This should go along very easily for you since you did an amazing job on your Xanavi Skyline. You sure are the Queen of Skylines...but the question is, who is the King? :smokin:

really nice one! I have to build the calsonic r-34 model that goes before of that, the one with white rims, but 2003 is nicer. Nice shine also and I know that you use half of a can to achieve this! I usually have to use too much paint :( It cannot be apreciated on the models but... in my pocket does!

 OK, I will finish this one first, then check the head.

I'm working on the wiring now. I'll post the pics up with write up after I finish it with all the pics ready.

I think in 2004, you'll always see this word "Skyline" in the thread title which start by me. These are the skylines I'm currently working on:

1997 Calsonic R33
Autech R32 4 doors
R33 GTS25t type M
nismo R34 25GT-t 4 doors

 I'm crazy!

Wiring:

This is the wire I use. The one with many fine wires twisted together inside.
http://yvonne.nwwo.com/progress/wiring/100-0073_IMG.JPG

Stripe out the insulator and leave ~1cm to mimic the conduit like in the picture. Spread them apart.
http://yvonne.nwwo.com/progress/wiring/100-0074_IMG.JPG

For the thick wire with the connector, use the bigger wire(This is not the same type of wire as above. It's a single big diameter wire.). Stripe and leave just alittle as shown.
http://yvonne.nwwo.com/progress/wiring/100-0075_IMG.JPG

Put some putty at the end (on that small piece of insulator) and sand it until it "looks" like a connetor. This one I made is horrible.
http://yvonne.nwwo.com/progress/wiring/100-0097_IMG.JPG

Prime the wire and paint them to whatever color you like. I painted flat black. Bend them to whatever you want them to go.
http://yvonne.nwwo.com/progress/wiring/100-0096_IMG.JPG

Use CA and glue the conduit on the chasis because that's the biggest piece to put glue and it can hold everything together. Also glue the connector to the center concole.
http://yvonne.nwwo.com/progress/wiring/100-0098_IMG.JPG

Paint the detailing and done. Finish
http://yvonne.nwwo.com/progress/wiring/100-0099_IMG.JPG

Comments are welcome. I want to improve it so it can be more detail.
Thanks for reading.

Excelent how-to lots of good ideas, thanks for sharing.
I do a simillar thing with the connectors only I use super glue to build up the end. Do you use metal primer on the wires? If not do you find the paint flakes off as you bend the wire or are you using a flexable type?

bigfrit
05-08-2004, 07:43 AM
that looks very handy in the future, can it be put in the tutorial section?

This really doesn't look as difficult as I would have thought, but as always, there has to be some kind of genious :icon16: to think of it !

A very usefull tip, thx !

Hehe. This is not a great idea, just a cheap idea to do wiring.

Do you use metal primer on the wires?
I used the duplicolor white primer. Th paint doesn't flake off.

Finish the decal, waiting to clear coat.

Awesome race car and wiring tutorial.

I have two of the those models but I am waiting to build them after I practice on some Revell kits. :iceslolan

I have a question.

What was your method for painting the silver outline on the head light?

Thx for your help.

If I am not mistaken the silver trim is a decal.... on the Xanavi/Pitwork it is Black and definately a decal.....

I wish she would do some more on it....
