Why Close?

I can understand closing a thread because of name calling and what not, but having an arguement about two cars shouldn't be a reason to close a thread. Just wondering why the supra vs 300zx thread got closed?

Why didn't you PM the moderator that probably closed it instead of posting in a open forum? Also I would have closed it too if I were a mod, that thing was one post away from being an all out flame fest, bench racing, made-up numbers, lots of people talking about cars they've never even driven. Those posts don't help the forum and they don't provide any useful information, so they should be closed. :)
