My husband and I have a pontiac grand prix se it keeps over heating, does anyone know what could be the problem and how we can fix it? My brother says it may be the coolant sensor, how do we find out if that is the cause...and how to fix any help would be appreciated

replace that, the water pump may be going, the thermostat may be shot, what year is the gp?
