Indiglo Guages

I recently bought a Prelude S, with Indiglo guages installed. And it has a short in it, so whenever I have them switched on, it flashes like a strobe light, and drives me insane. I dont even like how it looks, I really just want the stock ones. I dont want it fixed. The girl that I bought the car from said, I could "easily" take it out, the real ones were behind it. But I tried getting in there, and had major difficulty. Is this something I can do by myself, or should I take it somewhere. If its something I can do, help?

It is really simple i have done this 2 time. First take off the Cover speakers on the dash. Then Unscrew the peice that is right under the dash it is long, many screw have a bowl with you to collect them. After that unsrew the surrounding srews, the ones that are behind the speaker cover, holding the spacer between the cluster and the gas and temp side. You have to remove the long smoke color screen on the right side or passenger side there are hidden screws there to get the cluster out. be careful there are tabs that hold this in(Smoke color screen) take your time look for them and push them up i think?? After that you should see the screws that you need to take out for the cluster. After this the cluster should move freely. Remove the wire harness that are connected to the cluster some are in the back you need to take the cluster half way to to get to them. I pushed my cluster back and then folded it toward me to remove it, its hard. After that is should come out. Then unscrew the back of the cluster and a couple of tabs the front should come off. Need small screw driver for this. Then reinstall.
Really man good luck
