car needs a diet...
95 formula

I have decided that my '95 formula weighs far too much, and I'm not going to put up with it anymore. Has anyone ever done a weight reduction on a car like this and if so, how much weight did you save?
I had my car weighed at a truck scale, and it weighed 3480lbs. I tore a speaker box and the seats out of the back and weighed what I tore out, totalling 80lbs. When I returned to the truck scale it claimed 3240lbs. The fuel load difference wasn't more than a 1/4 tank. The numbers looked great, but they are obviously wrong. Does anyone know of a decent place to get your car weighed in the socal area?
P.S.- off topic, but occasionally the power of the motor dies hopelessly at 5k rpm. I've been told it's a clogged EGM, is this a proper diagnosis and if so what can be done?
