Inspect your engine mounts. The one that commonly goes out is between the fan belts and the radiator. If the rubber inside it is shrunken and pulled away from the metal, you need to replace it. Let me know what you find...

thanks alot for you help, was thinking that was what it was,but wasnt sure. i called my father in law and he said when we replaced my tranny that one of the dog bones was bent, so should i just by a new one and totally replace it, or should i try to replace the donuts first, they are worn and tearing like a old hose?????? thanks again

Speaking from experience, All of the transmission and motor mounts need to be in good shape to stop the vibration. However, It wouldn't hurt to do them one at a time and see how it goes.

If you mean replacing the rubber grommets inside the dogbone, I don't think you can do that. The rubber is usually attached to the metal. But if you can find them at an auto parts store, why not give it a try.

Yeah thats what I was talking about. So where are the other mounts. Keep in mind that I am a female, so the blonde kinds kicks in every now and then. I do know alot about cars, but its been so long since I have done anything to the car, like when I replaced the tranny 2 years ago. Thanks again

You'll need to get under the car to see the transmission mount, dogbone, transmission strut or whatever it's called. I think there is an engine mount that is accessable from below as well. Keep in mind that you'll need to put a block of wood between the floor jack and the oil pan to prevent damage when supporting the engine.

If these are the original factory mounts, they probably have threadlock on the bolts. They will be hard to break loose. (remembering you're a woman)
