A while ago I saw a site detailing the process of fabricating a CAI for Gen II Cavys... Does anyone know of this site or another one that has similar Homemade mods? Thanks

Eat a dick if you don't want to help, then I won't be able to hear your dumb ass. Sorry I don't want to spend 200$ on a car worth 100$.

Don't let em get you down 91cavaghini. I've been on the same mission for some time. Check the link and pict below. They should give you some ideas. K&N also sells Plenums, but have replied to my that there's no plans for cavi specs.

would buying a CAI for 150 bucks give me about the same performance increase as if i just bought a K&N filter?

I'm not gonna lie 2 U...
Yes. The air temp might make a difference, but not much to notice on these older models.
I just like the thought of putting something different on my car.

its a little thing called taste. obviously something you guys are lacking...
im not picking on you 91cavaghini there are way too many stupid kids are doing stupid things to there cavaliers and trying to act hard-assed about it... just do yourself a favor, save the money from the intake and buy a bunch of APC stickers for your car....

Actually, I'm not doing it to be fast. To be honest, my car makes it to 60 off the line in about as long as a Kia Rio. If I was only interested in speed I would have a Hennesey TT Viper. I just thought that it would be cool if I could create something useful.

well, if you just wanna make something yourself go for it, but theres a kid in my town with a 96 cavalier with a homemade air intake made from PVC pipe and a generic cone filter....

Well, if it helps you sleep at night, I decided against it. I Instead just broke off the plate restricting the stock intake system.
And if I did do a DIY intake, I wouldn't brag about it nor would I use pvc.
