Ignition Recommendations???

OK, I'm planning on upgrading my spark plugs and wires and while I'm at it I'm looking at getting an MSD ignition control box. I'm looking at buying either the MSD 6A Ignition which creates multiple sparks or the MSD Blaster Ignition which creates one long intense spark. Which one would work best for complete combustion? Any input would be appreciated.

MSD 6A Ignition has more stronger sparks. MSD Blaster Ignition just like stock except creates longer lasting spark. For complete combustion the 6A would because deliver hotter mutiple sparks.

Unless you are going to/or have lots of performance mods, the ignition upgrade will not be noticeable except for having to change your cap and rotor every 10,000 miles.

I would install just a good set of wires and an upgraded direct replacement coil (Accel or MSD). Also be sure to change your cap and rotor using the ones with brass contacts.

I don't think "Al Bundy" or "Dakaty" realizes that your truck is a 4 cylinder.
When you change the wires, you're changing the contacts in the cap!

Don't use MSD ignition. Won't do anything noticeable for your truck, just a waste of money.

See my reply on your perfomance/mod post.
