Why not a V6 swap?

Ok so I've heard lots about engine swaps and all I've heard has been swapping in the H22. My question is, why not swap in the V6 engine that accord v6's come with? It would be a drop in swap, or should be with minimal work right? So why not do it, are the engines harder to come by? Less performance parts available? Harder to build up? Prohibitively expensive?

this is no longer true.
aftermarker support for J30A1, J32A1 and J32A2 is pretty good this days, but J30A4 & J32A3 is still weak.
J32A2, J32A3 and J30A4 are avalable with 6sp manual transmissions.
but i still don't recomend those engines as swap into car with 4cyl. engine for simple reason, its not bolt in like H22. there will be a lot custom work, which translates into $$$$$$$.

It also depends on the generation of your Accord. For example, with a 5th generation doing a V6 swap into say an EX, it may not be as difficult because the exhaust pipe (atleast from cat-back) may be reusable. Where as newer versions go to dual exhausts on the V6 models.
Over all, it isn't worth it. For the price to install a V6, you could build up an H22 to produce more signficant gains.

Well, that isn't encouraging at all. I'm kind of wishing now that I had waited another year till I had the extra cash to get the V6 instead of getting what I could afford then...but I got the 2002, and I think the newer generation Accords are ugly, really ugly so even if I had waited I probably wouldn't have bought one just because they are so ugly.

too heavy, won't fit in a stock engine bay as the v6 accords have longer engine bays than do the i4, umm, waste of time because of the lack of a manual tranny (which further makes it heavier), very little aftermarket.
