lights flickering

its my 1988 2.8l when my car is running, my outside lights as well as my dash lights- well lets just say every light in the cars flickers, its a constant flicker and it more or less drives me nuts, but i noticed that you can see it when its dark out in my headlights, im figuring its some short in a wire, but have no idea where to look, or what to look for, any ideas would be great :eek7:

do you think that i could do a digital read out to see what it says, i was thinking a short in a wire but now im not too sure cause it would only do it to one or two lights not every light in the car, right??????????

I would replace the headlight switch itself. They tend to get worn out and loose contact inside.

for sure i would check charging system,regolator is going out

After hearing that you had trouble starting...
He's probably right.

Start it and disconnect the battery. If it dies, the alternater is bad.
