I was just looking at the auction on ebay, and it says vtec kicks in at 5700, and redline is at 9200 RPM. If u revved up to 9200 on a stock h22 would it not blow? Or is this auction supposed to imply that u have to have a built motor for it? This auction really seems like a scam especially from the shipping info. :evillol:

lol, thats funny. one of the feedbacks said "best chip i have try, you can't go wrong with the price of this chip". funny, if the product sucks, you blow your engine, guess he doesn't consider that a problem.

Postmature VTEC engagement was obviously meant for top end, like in an ITR, but the H22 is not capable of producing more power past 6800rpm. So the next 2k rpms are pretty much trying to net more or less unusable power. And past 8k is probably damaging to the internals.

revving past redline in stock engine will definatly cause damage. I should know...

thats not true, my h22 peaks at about 7100.

Redline is different from peak horsepower. Just because your rev limiter stops at 7200 doesn't mean it's making any more power past 6800. The only reason to keep it going past there is for the torque multiplication factor.
