Hi folks,

I have a 1998 Explorer Sport. I noticed that my turn signals and my hazard lights don't work. I figured I would replace a flasher, but I can't find it. And, if anyone has other thoughts as to what the problem would be, I be grateful. Take care, stephan

look under the hood on the left fender well behind the battery. my 2002 has a fues box at that location. see notes inside the box.

Thanks for the reply. I checked there, and looked at the owner's manual, but none of the descriptions seemed to concern the turn signals. I'm still not sure what to do.

thanks, stephan

my 2002 book also shows a second fuse panel. it is above the drivers left foot above the hood latch. on the bottom side pointed downward is 30 small fuses. #5 is for the turn signals. on the top of this fuse panel is 7 larger relays and #1 controls the flashers. book says you have to remove a couple screws and drop the entire fuse panel down a few inches to get to the relays on the top.

I am also having problems with my 98 Explorer's turn signals. If your looking for the flasher relay it should
to the right of your steering column, if your in the drivers seat. It should be in a covered black plastic box right
on the under side of the dash. Before you try taking the box cover off remember to disconnect the battery
starting with the negative first. Taking out the relay without doing this could short it or actually make an air bag
fire since your working by sensors. The relay should cost about 12.99 at Autozone.
Hope this helps.
